Hagit Sternschuss

Hagit Sternschuss was born in Tel-Aviv. Hagit paints differently from the accepted

Israeli art trend and has tried to distance herself from the artistic local crowd.

Being the daughter of Ruth Zarfati and Moshe Sternschuss (both prominent artists).

She grew up surrounded by art. In 1979 she studied in Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem. In 1980 She began studying in Camden Art Centre in London and later moved to New York to study at the Empire State College until 1982.

Hagit has exhibited in the Debel Gallery and Ephrat Gallery.

As Dr. Gideon Ofrat has written of her paintings: "danger zones which are nevertheless, indefinitely aesthetic. We look and we are hurt."
